Why do you travel?
I travel for the simple pleasure of seeing beautiful places and discovering new cultures. I find that traveling is always an enriching experience.

In 2013, my husband and I spent two weeks in Tanzania. I have been travelling a lot ever since I was a child, but it was the first time that I traveled to a place that felt out of my comfort zone. I must admit I was afraid of the unknown. Little did I know that this journey would change me for the better… After only a couple of days there, I remember telling my husband: “I could just stay here and be happy.” I came back from this wonderful trip with a thirst for new adventures in places that challenge me and take me out of my daily routine.
Check a bag or carry on?
I check a bag for most of my travels, as I do not like to feel restricted by a carry on. It just makes my travels more comfortable being able to bring whatever I want to have with me.
Do you collect souvenirs when you travel? If so, what?
The souvenirs I collect from my travels are my photographs. I love being able to encapsulate the places I fall in love with and keep a memory of them forever.
You just won an all expenses paid trip. Where are you going? Who are you taking with you?
There are so many places I want to travel to, but if I won a trip I would choose Namibia and take my husband with me! I dream of visiting the red dunes of the Namib desert and see some wildlife.
Where are you heading next?
I have done quite a lot of traveling in the past years and visited so many exciting new destinations, but I will now slow down a bit as we are preparing to have a baby this autumn. Next trip will be Switzerland and France for the winter holidays.
A quote you live by is…
“The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That’s why it is called the present.”
What’s your favorite travel hack?
Before my trips, I always do some research, mainly on Instagram, as I do not want to miss out on interesting experiences, beautiful places, and photogenic opportunities. That said, I do love a bit of serendipity, and some of my fondest travel memories come from unexpected places.
Favorite destination and travel tip for that destination.
If I had to pick a favorite destination it would be the South of Sweden. Skåne is a beautiful region to visit in the summer. There is a small seaside village called Torekov where my family has a summer house, and I am probably biased but it is the most charming place I know.
