Why do you travel?
Like the quote says, travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. Being surrounded by the unfamiliar is so incredibly grounding and inspiring to us. You learn so much from taking the road less traveled, eating foreign flavors and laughing with people that don’t speak your language. We travel because life is meant to be well lived.
Share a travel experience that really shaped who you are today.
Backpacking through Asia for almost a year completely changed us. It give us a entirely different perspective on what really matters. Life slowed down. We weren’t living by anyone schedules or deadlines but our own. We met people and shared experiences that will forever be with us. We learned to appreciate the smallest of things and be grateful for every breath we took. Really, Asia did absolute wonders for our soul.
Check a bag or carry on?
Ha, depends. Usually carry on though.
Do you collect souvenirs when you travel? If so, what?
Usually art. Handmade brackets. Paintings. Pottery. Anything we can do to support local artists, we do. Plus, they make great accents in our home and wonderful reminders of the places we’ve been.
You just won an all expenses paid trip. Where are you going? Who are you taking with you?
Oh that’s easy. Around the world. To every country. And we’re taking each other!
Where are you heading next?
A quote you live by is…
Decide what to be and go be it.
